Dismantling the Model Minority Myth. An invitation email was sent out to lecturers teaching DE courses at the different types of Asian institution including state-funded mega universities, small and large private institutions, dual-mode universities, for-profit e-learning companies, community centers, and NGOs. In the gender-considerate domain, caution is needed in regard to gender stereotyping and gender inequality, both for men and women. Responses by male and female students were compared across the five domains and sub-categories.
